Z Flip or Z Fold: which should I get?
Get a Z Flip if you want a normal-size phone that folds to fit a small pocket. Get a Z Fold if you want a phone that opens into a small tablet for reading, video and running apps side by side.
Fold8 or Fold8 Ultra?
The Fold8 has a wider, shorter shape with a 7.6-inch inner screen and weighs 201 g. The Ultra has the bigger 8-inch inner screen, a 3x telephoto, a 200MP camera and a 5,000mAh battery.
Which Galaxy Z phones get 7 years of updates?
The Flip6, Fold6 and every newer model. The Flip5 and Fold5 get 4 OS upgrades.
Which Z Fold works with the S Pen?
Only the Fold5 and Fold6, with an S Pen sold separately. The Fold7, Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra do not support it.
Are foldable phones water resistant?
The Flip6, Fold6 and newer are rated IP48: water resistant and protected against particles larger than 1 mm, so keep them away from sand and fine dust. The Flip5 and Fold5 are rated IPX8, water resistant with no dust rating.
Are the Flip8 and Fold8 new or refurbished?
Brand new and sealed. Earlier Z Flip and Z Fold models are refurbished.

128GB suits most people. Choose 256GB or more if you shoot a lot of video, play big games or keep your photos on the phone. None of these phones has a microSD slot, so pick your storage up front.
