How to get your iPhone 12 ready to sell

1. Back it up to iCloud or your computer, so you keep your photos and messages.
2. Turn off Find My. Go to Settings, tap your name, then Find My, then Find My iPhone, and switch it off.
3. Sign out of your Apple Account. In Settings, tap your name, then Sign Out.
4. Erase it. Go to Settings, then General, then Transfer or Reset iPhone, then Erase All Content and Settings.
5. Take out your SIM card, and remove any eSIM when the phone asks during the erase.
6. Pay off any balance on a financing plan before you send it.
