Why older iPhones cannot run it
Apple runs much of Apple Intelligence on the device itself for privacy, which needs a fast Neural Engine and enough memory. Apple only enabled it on the A17 Pro chip and newer in iPhones, and on M1 and newer in iPads and Macs. Software updates do not change that line: an iPhone 15 or 14 will not gain Apple Intelligence later.
Apple Intelligence in Canada
- Available in Canada with the device and Siri language set to a supported language, including English (Canada).
- Siri AI, the new more personal Siri in iOS 27, launched in beta in English. Apple says French support is coming later this year.
- Some features that use Apple's server models have daily usage limits.
