Questions buyers ask
How long will the Pixel 8 get updates?
7 years from launch: to October 2030 for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, and to May 2031 for the Pixel 8a.
Pixel 8 or Pixel 8a?
Same chip and the same 7 years of updates. The Pixel 8 adds IP68, faster 27W charging, 18W wireless and Battery Share. The 8a costs less.
Does the Pixel 8 have zoom?
Only the Pixel 8 Pro has a telephoto lens, with 5x optical zoom.
Is the Pixel 8 waterproof?
The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are rated IP68. The Pixel 8a is IP67.
Can I use Face Unlock for payments?
Yes, on every Pixel 8 model.
Is it safe to buy a refurbished phone?
Yes, when the seller tests every phone and backs it with a warranty. Every refurbished phone we sell is fully working, unlocked, covered by a warranty of 90 days to 1 year, depending on grade, and returnable within 14 days. See our promise for how we check each one.
What battery health will I get?
At least 80% on every refurbished phone. We measure battery capacity before a phone is listed, and phones below 80% get a new battery first.
Refurbished or new: what is the difference?
A refurbished phone has had a previous owner. It is tested, cleaned and graded on how it looks, and it costs less than new. The grade only describes cosmetic wear. Every grade is fully working.
How much storage do I need?
128GB suits most people. Choose 256GB or more if you shoot a lot of video, play big games or keep your photos on the phone. None of these phones has a microSD slot, so pick your storage up front.
Will it work with my carrier?
Yes. Every phone is unlocked and works with any Canadian carrier. Insert your SIM card or set up an eSIM and keep your current plan.
Want a newer chip and 16GB of RAM on the Pro? See the Pixel 9 series.
Prices in this collection currently run from $349.99 to $879.99, depending on model, storage and condition.
